EASE INTO IT
ASK IT
Two different things to consider:
Does this fit what I enjoy?Does this fit what I’m looking for in a partner?
Is this flexible, important, or a nonnegotiable for me? What do I still need to ask?
Build on what you’re learning together:
What helps each of us feel understood, appreciated, and close?
What do we want to keep, make more room for, or approach differently?
What’s one small step we both welcome—and when will we check in about it?
If they hesitate: “Too personal for right now? We can come back to it.”
MAKE IT A CONVERSATION
You don’t need to get through a list. One good question can be enough.
A QUESTION AWAY
Intimate questions are for consenting adults. No experience is required, and nobody owes an answer or details about their past.
For couples, Sex & chemistry offers Turn up the chemistry for pleasure and discovery, and Find our way back for a suggested conversation about intimacy that has faded. You can pause or switch at any time.
Open “Make sense of the answer” for reflection. Keep what you enjoy separate from what you want in a partner. You might love going out but want someone who gives you room to go with friends.
A preference difference, a significant mismatch, and someone ignoring a boundary are different things. One answer is not a verdict on someone’s character. Give yourself time to see whether their actions match their words.
These questions help you understand each other, build on what feels good, work through differences, and grow a deeper connection. Use the reflection panel to find a shared next step.
If there has been little or no sex, Find our way back offers a starting conversation. Take turns hearing how each person experienced the changes. You can pause and return without having to solve everything at once.
Ask what actually happened, what each person understood, and what you still need to talk about. Give each other room to answer honestly. A gift, favor, or trip never creates an obligation to have sex.
